What awaits you

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP backend solutions on SAP ERP / SAP S/4HANA systems

• Develop and expose OData services and REST-based APIs for integration with SAP and non-SAP systems

• Implement and enhance custom ABAP developments to support complex business processes

• Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust backend solutions

• Ensure high code quality through testing, debugging, and performance optimization

• Work in an agile environment and contribute to continuous improvement of SAP backend architectures

What should you bring along

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

• Strong hands-on experience with ABAP, including ABAP Objects (OO) and BAPI, BADI, User Exits, Enhancements

• Solid experience with OData services (design, implementation, and consumption)

• Experience with REST APIs, including integration with non-SAP systems

• Strong knowledge of SAP backend systems (SAP ERP R/3 and/or SAP S/4HANA)

• Experience with custom developments in SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, PP, or WM

• Good understanding of CDS Views and efficient data modeling

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD concepts

• Experience working with production-critical SAP systems

• Strong analytical thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with SAP authorization concepts (authentication and authorization)

• German communication skills will be a plus
