What awaits you
As Chief Compliance Officer, you will act as an independent monitoring, advisory and reporting function, ensuring that the Company’s activities comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards.
Your primary focus will be the compliance function, with legal advisory responsibilities performed as a complementary activity. In case of conflicts of interest, external legal counsel will be engaged.
The role is carried out independently, without operational decision-making authority, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure for the Compliance Officer, which prevail in case of inconsistencies.
Within the Three Lines of Defense model, the Compliance Officer represents the second line of defense and coordinates audit-related activities across the governance framework. The role also includes acting as Data Protection Officer (DPO) in accordance with GDPR.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Defining and continuously improving the compliance management system and strategy
• Drafting and reviewing internal policies, procedures and legal documents, and supporting contract-related matters
• Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and advising Directors on implications
• Conducting compliance reviews, audits and risk assessments, and defining mitigation measures
• Managing whistleblowing channels and supporting investigations of suspected misconduct
• Reporting to Directors and Shareholders on compliance status, risks and incidents
• Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and IT-related requirements, including data protection, cybersecurity and information security
• Acting as DPO, including GDPR monitoring, advisory and awareness activities
• Managing key compliance risks such as anti-corruption, antitrust, AML, fraud prevention and data protection
• Supporting certification frameworks such as ISO standards and business continuity management
• Delivering compliance training and awareness programmes
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and authorities
• Supporting shareholder-related governance activities and maintaining compliance documentation
• Promoting a strong culture of integrity and compliance
What should you bring along
• University Degree in Law or a comparable relevant field
• Proven professional experience of at least 5 years in compliance and/or legal roles, preferably in an international or regulated business environment
• Strong knowledge of corporate compliance, data protection, antitrust, anti-corruption and relevant regulatory frameworks
• Practical experience with certification and control frameworks such as ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 20000-1, VDA-ISA and ISO/IEC 22301
• High level of integrity, independence and ethical standards
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and provide clear, structured advice to senior leadership
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken
