What awaits you 

  • Consulting on the BMW IT Architecture processes, methods and tools

  • Training on BMW IT Architecture processes, methods and tools

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for Architecture process, methods and tool topics

  • Ensure, drive and improve the quality of architecture processes, methods and tools

  • Documentation of IT Architecture

  • Supporting initiatives, projects and line functions on technical architecture topics

  • Assessment of Blueprint (standardization) requests with respect to Infrastructure technology

  • In depth analysis of architectural trends and topics with respect to Infrastructure technology

  • Supporting the development of technical recommendations, guidelines and strategies to enhance Infrastructure technology or the overall IT Architecture at BMW

  • Proof-of-concepts and pilots of promising architectural trends and topics w.r.t. Infrastructure technology

  • Consulting on implementation of strategies and/ or architecture recommendations, guidelines

  • Provide transparency (reporting), monitor and/ or drive the implementation of architecture relevant changes, tasks and KPIs 

What should you bring along 

  • Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science

  • Minimum of 7 -to 10 years professional working experience in IT

  • Fluent in English-speaking, including Business reading and writing

  • General German language skills and willingness to enhance these to Business level

  • Prior experience in an Enterprise Architect / Infrastructure Architect / Solution Architect role

  • Broad understanding of Enterprise Architecture concepts

  • Experience with TOGAF and ITIL frameworks

  • Experience with the Agile Methodology

  • In-depth working knowledge of IT Infrastructure i.e. Data Centres; Networks; Server; Storage; End Devices and Cloud technologies, Identity and Access Management

  • Project Management experience and skills

  • Very good understanding of infrastructure and application architectures

  • Experience in Software Development and automation with focus on IaC, scripting, RestAPI, SQL
